Once upon a time, in a land filled with farms and barns, there was a certain outlaw who couldn't seem to satiate her appetite for wrastlin' in the hay. She would go about her chores everyday singing to herself and brushing back wisps of hair. By end of day, she'd be half dressed from the heat and sprawled out in the cool barn, letting the breeze take away her dreams of finding other things to do. She wore loose, draping dresses to match her attitude. She was packing a 6 gage among other things. It wasn't until some poor bastard accidentally knocked her off her skates one day that she realized she could and should push back. Given her nature of wrastlin' in the hay, she took to wrastling on skates pretty quick...or is that quick and pretty :)

HARD complies with all standards established by the WFTDA WFTDA is the Womens Flat-Track Derby Association and it is composed of independent, all-girl roller derby leagues from across the country. The mission of the WFTDA is to promote and foster the sport of women’s flat-track roller derby by facilitating the development of athletic ability, sportswomanship, and goodwill among member leagues. The governing philosophy is “by the skaters, for the skaters.” Women skaters are primary owners, managers, and operators of each member league and of the coalition. The operational tasks of the coalition are to set standards for rules, seasons, and safety, and to determine guidelines for the presentations of the national and international athletic competitions of member leagues. All member leagues have a voice in the decision-making process, and agree to comply with the governing body’s policies.
