ABOUT US
Harrisburg Area Roller Derby was formed in 2006 by a group of driven and passionate community members who bonded over the sport of roller derby. It became the founding WFTDA (Women's Flat Track Derby Association) league in Central Pennsylvania in 2008. Bouts and practices are held at the Olympic Skating Center in Enola, PA. We have touched the lives of many women and have given them an outlet to do something empowering for themselves. When not practicing or participating in bouts, skaters often partner with local businesses and area non-profits to raise awareness, volunteer time, and gather donations that go back into the community and support causes in-line with HARD’s mission. Our skaters also volunteer their time and talents to take part in running a portion of the league itself, as it is all skater-run.
2024 will mark HARD's 18th season as a WFTDA member league and a staple in Central Pennsylvania.
